On June 17, officials from Shinan District reported that the core structure of the main tower of the 1 Nanjing Road Skyscraper Project (otherwise known as the Shipping Trade Finance Headquarters Tower Project) has reached the 26th floor, surpassing a height of 130 meters. With the project entering its residential section's main structural phase, full structural topping-out is expected before the 2026 Lunar New Year. Once completed, it will become another prominent ultra-high-rise landmark along Qingdao's coastal skyline.
Located at the intersection of Hong Kong Middle Road and Nanjing Road, the 1 Nanjing Road Skyscraper Project integrates premium 5A‑grade office facilities with expansive sky-level luxury residences. The development consists of five basement levels and 54 floors above ground, with a total gross floor area of 118,000 square meters and a structural height reaching 239.9 meters. The layout is functionally zoned: levels 1–3 for retail, levels 4–21 for office space, levels 22–26 for an exclusive private club featuring an infinity pool, and levels 27–53 for upscale residences offering panoramic 270-degree sea views. The project recently completed the first column-top installation at the transfer level, where three structural columns were unified into a single support—marking the transition to standard residential floor construction. Simultaneously, work on the exterior curtain wall is progressing, including high-end interior fit-outs of the club levels and the ground-floor lobby.
The 1 Nanjing Road Skyscraper Project is located in Fushan Bay Business District, a prime area at the heart of Qingdao's political, economic, and cultural tourism center. Once completed, the project will focus on developing sectors such as headquarters economy, finance, international business, and high-end retail, positioning itself as a hub for international commerce, fashion consumption, and globally influential corporate headquarters.
